About the role

The Level 3 System and Support Engineer is responsible for supporting and management of IT services and Infrastructure. This position is an integral part of the whole IT team and works closely with End user, IT Operations and Business Application team members.


  • Business as usual configuration changes
  • Apply operating system hardening and associated security controls in accordance with the business requirements
  • Investigate, diagnose and restore the affected Service as in accordance with Service Levels
  • Participate actively in all and Major Incident (P1/P2) review conference calls
  • Participate actively in all client specific CAB meetings
  • Perform system health checks
  • Perform Operating System, file system and storage system housekeeping
  • Perform System patching and formulate a Patch Management Plan consistent with the standard patching cycle
  • Configure Exchange mailbox store and public folders policy
  • Perform housekeeping tasks such as log drive, check, mailbox database check
  • Provide support to apply fix pack and hot fixes
  • Troubleshoot issues affecting the availability, reliability or performance of any of the email services
  • Full end to end management of messaging environment including cloud archiving and email filtering platforms (Symantec Cloud)
  • Support the migration to Office365, including Teams, Sharepoint, PowerBI
  • Support and manage Threat Management solution (Crowdstrike)
  • Support and manage Cloud Proxy solution (ZScaler)
  • Support of services and servers contained within AWS environment
  • Support of single sign on service (OKTA)

Skills and experience in the following;

  • Active directory, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, DFS, Group policies, and all other Active Directory and domain management services
  • Windows Operating Systems – 2012, 2016, 2019
  • Powershell scripting to manage AD services
  • Vmware
  • SSL certificate management & PKI Management
  • FTP Management (GlobalScape)
  • IP networks, subnetting, switching and routing
    • Exchange2013 operation, including Database Availability Groups
    • Exchange services and their role (OWA, IMAP, SMTP, ActiveSync etc)
    • Exchange Powershell scripting
  • Skype for business 2015
  • Office 365
  • Microsoft Teams
