About the role
The Head of Audience is responsible for driving the audience growth, increasing engagement, and driving conversion and retention across Are Media’s omnichannel brands. The role will have the responsibility of both Email and Social as well as SEO.
Reporting into the Director of Content you will be responsible for creating the audience strategy across all sites and working with relevant site owners to ideate and execute audience plans across SEO, Email and Social. The Head of Audience will work closely with Are Media’s Content, Commercial, Shopping, Marketing and Product teams to design and implement the key strategies that attract, retain and engage target audiences.
This position is the key role in developing and executing audience strategies that align with Are Media’s goal of becoming an omnichannel media company with strong content capabilities.
Duties
- Develop and execute Are Media’s audience growth strategy for each Content Site to ensure audience metrics align with commercial targets
- Deliver Audience guidelines, including best-practice guides for SEO, Social and Email to the Are Media Content team.
- Build dashboards to deliver performance metrics and opportunities per brand
- Deliver monthly content recommendations and traffic forecasting per brand in line with content plans
- Share insights and knowledge to help drive growth, traffic and engagement, including keyword mapping and tracking and ensuring Are Media is kept up to date with ever changing SEO landscape.
- Lead the content-led Audience team, including tool management, offshore resourcing and ownership of coupons
Skills and experience
- 8+ years’ experience in SEO
- Strong leadership abilities and experience managing a team
- Knowledge and application of SEO and web analytics tools for data analysis, including Conductor, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console, Sail Thru and Dash Hudson
- Competency in soft skills, including, but not limited to, project management, stakeholder management, communication, interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, objection handling
- Knowledge of how websites work both from a user perspective and from an SEO perspective
- Commercial mindset to ensure email and social commercial targets are prioritised.
- Strong organisational and time management skills as well as administration/project management skills.
