About the Role:

Reporting to the Head of Social and Email, this exciting opportunity will play a key role in helping develop and grow the SEO, social and email marketing offerings for some of Australia’s most recognised magazine brands (ELLE, Gourmet Traveller, Marie Claire, Girlfriend and The Australian Women's Weekly to name just a few).

Working closely with the Social and Email Manager and the SEO and Affiliates Manager, the Audience Development Coordinator will work directly with brands within both the digital and magazine teams, bridging the gap to help drive growth and engagement across all of the Are Media digital properties.

  • Assisting with developing and promoting SEO, social and email marketing best practice across all consumer magazines, ecommerce and listings brands
  • Working closely with the product and digital editorial teams to ensure SEO traffic is growing and email lists are growing in both size and engagement
  • Assist in coordinating the Audience Development team’s strategic and technical roadmap tasks and other general administrative tasks
  • Analysing and reporting data to assist the Audience Development team in communicating performance results and metrics to key stakeholders
  • Contribute to social media posting and promotion responsibilities as/if required

Skills and experience

  • 1-2 years digital marketing experience (experience using email marketing and SEO tools specifically is advantageous)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders with varying technical levels of knowledge
  • Analytical thinker; capable of translating data into actionable items
    Interest in technical SEO and HTML/CSS with willingness to learn quickly and confidently
  • Sound knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Keen interest in complete audience development cycle & how each platform contributes to growth
  • Hands-on experience with broader audience development areas: SEO, social, analytics
  • Experience working in ecommerce, content marketing or loyalty program environments
