About the role
The Shopping Editor is a lead content strategy role responsible for delivering the shopping content strategy across digital brands and verticals at Are Media. Reporting into the Head of Shopping, you will be executing the digital content shopping strategy across all channels, driving and identifying opportunities to diversify revenue and collaborating with stakeholders and internal partners to develop projects that improve efficiencies and grow audiences, and help the business grow affiliate revenue and achieve yearly budget. You will be pivotal in executing the shopping content plan across the vertical structure to deliver content commerce revenue budgets. This is a senior content lead who will provide digital thought leadership and drive a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing and best practice.
Duties
- Ideate, create, and optimise excellent, audience aligned shopping content across various channels
- Manage and execute monthly and quarterly content plans for the Shopping Content Team and home and lifestyle vertical brands, ensuring output will meet revenue targets
- Track and report on Shopping Content Team’s monthly output and revenue performance, closely monitoring successes and opportunity areas
- Edit work by Shopping Content team members across the sites, as required, to ensure quality and brand values are upheld, providing feedback and support where needed
- Liaising with key internal stakeholders to ensure seamless workflow and implementation of the monthly and quarterly content plans
- Work with the Head of Email, Social and Audience to ensure best practice is adhered to for any product, platform, and/or algorithmic updates
- Help to identify and implement (as needed) emerging or currently untapped affiliate content solutions
- Cultivate a strong data-based understanding of Are’s digital brands’ audiences, and the revenue capabilities and opportunities
Skills and experience
- Minimum 4 years’ creating content in a digital environment
- Excellent content ideation, strategy, and output skills
- Experience with CPA and CPC affiliate network platforms and analytic tools
- Excellent understanding of SEO best practice and the current search environment
- Excellent understanding of optimising digital content for conversion
- Preferred experience with Word Press, Conductor, Power BI
- Preferred experience in and passion for the homes and lifestyle category
- Financial and commercial acumen; knowledge of affiliate revenue drivers for websites, social platforms and digital sales processes
