About the role:

If you have an eye for creative, outstanding organisation skills and the ability to manage a crew over multiple shoot days, you could be the perfect fit for the Are Media Content & Creative team.

We have an amazing opportunity coming up for a talented producer to join the busy team to support our busy and fun creative production schedule. With multiple shoots happening every month, we are looking for a versatile producer with proven experience in stills, video production and project management. You’ll be collaborative, agile and adept in a fast-paced media environment working across food, lifestyle, interiors, fashion and beauty.

Your attention to detail and budget will be outstanding and your ability to pitch, negotiate and manage talent on shoot days will be second-to-none. As a key senior member of the creative side of the team, you will be an integral part of our monthly shoot roster and creative pitch process from both a creative and logistical perspective.

You will be calm under pressure and strategic in your project and time management with consecutive shoots often happening in the same week. One of our key accounts involves large studio and location shoots for furniture and whitegoods on a monthly basis.

Any experience with Adobe Creative Suite, video editing, visual merchandising, set design or a relevant field will also be considered favourably.

Your day-to-day role:

  • Planning and scheduling shoots based on brief from the Creative Director and/or Creative Leads
  • Managing shoots on production days
  • Quoting, working to budgets, managing reconciliations and project invoicing
  • Briefing stylists, videographers, studios, set builders, photographers and video editors
  • Creative problem solving – helping keep projects on track and to brief
  • Networking skills – sourcing the best locations, studios, photographers, videographers, models, stylists and hair and make-up artists
  • External talent sourcing – in-depth social knowledge and ability to make talent recommendations for pitches that fit within budget and host brand
  • Managing scope creep across projects

Key skills and experience:

  • Project management - including internal and external team
  • Budget management
  • Quality control
  • Client and stakeholder management
  • Negotiation
  • Creative process understanding
  • Digital, print and social experience
  • Flexibility and initiative

This is the ideal role for an experienced (or ambitious) media production professional who loves being part of a team and the creative process. You can make things happen quickly but also love to plan ahead. If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you. Tell us what you can bring to our team and share your CV with us. This role will be available mid-April.

Are Media is committed to a diverse, respectful, collaborative & inclusive workplace. We know & value the success this brings for everyone and we welcome & encourage applications from diverse backgrounds.  When you apply, please let us know of any reasonable adjustments you may need during the interview process.
