About the role
As the Social Media Producer for The Australian Women's Weekly, you'll play a pivotal role in creating and curating engaging content across Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok for The Australian Women's Weekly and Women's Weekly Food.
Working with the Digital Editor of The Australian Women's Weekly and the Digital Managing Editor of Women's Weekly Food, you'll craft publish-ready social content that grows audiences, drives engagement, and supports revenue goals. You'll manage the social content calendar while using analytics and audience insights to refine your approach and deliver impactful results.
Duties
- Create and publish engaging social media content across multiple platforms including compelling short-form videos, dynamic carousels, and attention-grabbing posts
- Write captivating copy and captions for social posts with exceptional spelling and grammar standards
- Edit videos specifically for social media platforms with expertise and attention to detail
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders
- Use analytics tools to understand audience behaviour and refine content strategy to maximise engagement and growth
- Pitch innovative ideas and campaigns to drive audience growth and identify content with commercial potential
- Execute social media strategy in alignment with brand guidelines and best practices
- Support team members across the team in creating and publishing social content
- Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to strategic planning
Skills and experience
- Proven experience in digital content creation and curation at scale for digital publishing
- Strong understanding of audience analytics tools and the ability to use data to create informed content insights
- Excellent writing and editing skills with a keen eye for on-brand content
- Experience working across social platforms
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with team members
- Initiative and creativity to support audience and traffic growth goals
- Strong interpersonal skills with a professional approach
