About the role
Reporting to the Editor, the Digital Editor is responsible for driving audience, engagement and reach by creating a wide range of content from viral to evergreen, for success via social and SEO.
You'll be at the forefront of digital content creation for TV Week, driving engagement and shaping the online narratives that captivate our ever-growing audience of television enthusiasts. In this pivotal role, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your editorial prowess, strategic thinking, and passion for all things digital and entertainment-focused.
Duties
- Oversee the end-to-end content creation process for TV Week's digital platforms, ensuring high-quality, engaging, and SEO-optimized content.
- Conceptualize and develop compelling digital stories, covering the latest in television news, reviews, interviews, and behind-the-scenes scoops.
- Collaborate with editorial teams, writers, and contributors to ideate and execute digital content strategies.
- Leverage data-driven insights and audience analytics to inform content strategy and optimize user experiences.
- Identify emerging digital trends, technologies, and platforms within the entertainment industry for content integration.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative environment, empowering the team to deliver exceptional digital content for TV enthusiasts.
Skills and experience
- Proven experience in digital content creation, editorial management, or related field within the entertainment industry.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for detail and a knack for engaging narratives.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data and metrics for content optimization.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Passion for digital media, curiosity for new technologies, and commitment to staying ahead of the curve in the entertainment industry.
- Solid understanding of digital platforms, technologies, and SEO best practices.
