In this rare and exciting opportunity, Australia’s best celebrity magazine, New Idea, is looking for a talented Senior Content Producer for our digital platform.
You’ll be responsible for interviewing, writing and publishing on-brand, real-time content, that grows audience and traffic, and, above all, entertains.
You’ll be in your element coming up with unique ideas, and working with networks, publicists, contacts and talent, to support the Digital Editor in the online and social media strategy.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years’ experience in digital content creation.
You will:
- Ability to craft an original angle that will help achieve traffic goals
- Ensure copy is legally-sound, accurate, and has exceptional punctuation and grammar
- Reporting to the Digital Editor, you will be confident in working independently when needed, and collaborating with, and guiding content producers as required
- Breaking news and turning copy around to tight deadlines, in our brand’s style and tone
- A strong knowledge of SEO, and a grasp of analytic tools to inform creative ideas and strategy
- Contributing to shopping, commercial and affiliate content as required
Skills and experience
- Solid journalism background, with proven experience in digital content creation, ideally within the entertainment industry.
- Excellent news sense and a strong understanding of engaging storytelling and headlines to captivate our audience
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Outstanding communication skills, highly organised with an eye for accuracy and detail
