At Are Media, you'll be in the office four days a week, with one day to work from home. 

About the role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager of XchangeIT, you will be working in our small friendly team to provide IT Technical Support for all users of the XchangeIT EDI and data application, largely by telephone.  The day-to-day support is largely to newsagents and small retail businesses, with opportunities to be involved with our key suppliers, point of sale vendors and other stakeholders within Are Direct and Are Media.

XchangeIT prides itself on its support and rates extremely highly in our annual customer satisfaction survey.  Your role will contribute to the positive customer experience that we aim to deliver.

Duties

  • Troubleshoot and solve problems that newsagents and small retailers may experience relating to the XchangeIT EDI Client application and the lottery integration product 
  • Liaise with stores regarding their data, maintaining their customer records as well as their renewals
  • Be responsible for the monitoring and follow up of several processes that we run to highlight when stores are having issues
  • Contribute to the onboarding process, to teach new owners how to use all aspects of XchangeIT
  • Work with the XchangeIT team on other projects and ad hoc work

Skills and experience

  • Minimum 1 year experience working in a technical support role in an office environment
  • Desktop support and knowledge of the Windows Operating System
  • Desire to help solve problems
  • Great telephone manner – displays empathy and creates a positive customer experience
  • Team player
  • Proficiency in full suite of MS Office products with a minimum of intermediate level Word, Excel and Outlook skills.
  • Knowledge of EDI preferred but not essential.
