About the role
The Product Manager, Digital Platforms plays a pivotal role in Are Media’s transformation toward a connected, data-driven digital ecosystem. This role leads the product strategy, delivery, and optimisation of shared user experiences, including Accounts and Login, First Party Data, Content Management, across Are Media’s portfolio of iconic brands such as Women’s Weekly, Better Homes & Gardens, Gourmet Traveller, and Marie Claire.
Duties
Working closely with Technology, Editorial, Marketing, and Commercial teams, the Product Manager defines and executes the roadmap that underpins Are Media’s first-party data strategy and audience engagement vision. Success in this role requires balancing product strategy, stakeholder management, and technical performance oversight, while ensuring scalable delivery across multiple brands and platforms.
Skills and experience
- 5 + years’ experience in product management or ownership
- Strong understanding of digital publishing, content platforms, and audience engagement
- Proven track record leading multi-brand rollouts or shared platform initiatives
- Hands-on experience with WordPress, GA4, Segment, Piano.io, and Sailthru
- Deep familiarity with agile methodologies, JIRA, Confluence, and Miro
- Data-driven mindset with ability to link analytics to measurable business outcomes
- Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills
Desirable
- Exposure to large multisite WordPress ecosystems
- Experience with UX or human-centred design principles
- Knowledge of SEO, Core Web Vitals, and site-performance optimisation
- Understanding of data governance and privacy compliance
