About the role
We’re looking for a big-picture thinker who can connect insight to impact. Are Media is on the hunt for a Media Strategist to join us on a 12-month parental leave contract — someone who thrives on turning briefs into brilliant, cohesive responses that excite agency partners and brands alike.

Duties
- Lead end-to-end brief responses — from uncovering insights and defining the strategic “red thread” to developing the full tactical and creative response.
- Craft compelling, cohesive decks that clearly articulate strategy, creative ideas, and execution to agency audiences.
- Collaborate across teams (sales, commercial content, production, research, and brand / editorial) to bring integrated media solutions to life.
- Stay ahead of the curve on media trends, platform capabilities, and audience behaviours to ensure responses are relevant, strategic, and standout.
Skills and experience
- Proven media-side experience — you understand the agency world and what makes a pitch resonate.
- A strong grasp of insight-led strategy and how to translate that into actionable, creative media ideas.
- Excellent storytelling and deck-building skills — you can make complex strategies simple and persuasive.
- A knack for balancing creative thinking with commercial understanding.
- A collaborative spirit and comfort working at pace on multiple briefs.
