About the role
As Senior Content Producer, you’ll play a key role in shaping Woman’s Day’s daily content, creating stories that drive page views, spark social engagement and grow audience reach. This is a hands-on lead role where you’ll also produce smart affiliate content to support the brand’s broader eCommerce goals.
Working closely with the Editor, you’ll help deliver the daily content plan, pitching ideas, jumping on breaking celebrity news, and moving quickly to capture opportunities across web, social and EDM. You’ll bring a strong instinct for what resonates with audiences, a sharp eye for angles, and the ability to craft scroll-stopping headlines for Search, social and site.
You’ll use SEO and performance data to guide decisions, refine strategy and continuously learn what works — balancing creativity with insight to make sure every story counts.
Duties
- Own the daily content plan, ensuring output aligns with traffic targets and brand priorities.
- Monitor trends and news to inform the content mix, while pitching original, omnichannel story ideas.
- Produce multiple high-quality, SEO-optimised stories each day, delivering to rolling deadlines.
- Maintain tone, style and brand voice across the site, including writing and editing content for web and social, and overseeing EDM sends when required.
- Manage commercial content responses and delivery, ensuring commitments are met and e-commerce (shoppable content) targets achieved.
- Use analytics and performance data to shape editorial ideas and amplification strategies that engage core audiences, grow reach and drive results.
Skills and experience
- 3 + years experience creating features, celebrity and lifestyle content in digital media (fast-paced newsroom experience highly regarded)
- Confident using CMS platforms, photo editing and analytics tools, with strong SEO knowledge
- Proven ability to manage social platforms and communities, with sharp content ideation skills and the agility to pivot for growth
- Excellent eye for angles and compelling headline writing
- Relevant tertiary qualification, with a basic understanding of commercial drivers and digital sales processes
- Experience with tools such as Conductor, Trackonomics, Google Analytics, Dash Hudson, Canva, WordPress and Monday (preferred)
