About the role

The Head of Data, AdTech & Commercial Operations is a senior leadership role within Are Media’s commercial team, responsible for shaping and driving the future of our commercial Ad Tech, digital and data strategies while enabling our Advertising Sales revenue and margin performance through efficient commercial operations and workflows.

This role sits at the centre of our commercial ecosystem, ensuring our revenue ambitions are supported by current and fit for purpose platforms, scalable operating models and sound governance. You will lead the evolution of our digital and data products, advertising technology, partnerships and commercial workflows, building a high-performing, future-ready environment that enables sustainable growth.

Working cross-functionally across Sales, Technology, Marketing, Legal and Product, you will translate commercial strategy into practical, executable solutions, embedding efficient processes, strengthening capability and ensuring responsible, compliant practices by design.

Duties

  • Lead the evolution of digital advertising platforms, AdTech, and commercial data capability to support scalable revenue growth.
  • Own the commercial data strategy and platform investment roadmap, ensuring best‑practice technology and data use.
  • Drive the organisation’s digital and commercial transformation, establishing clear roadmaps, governance and future‑ready operating models.
  • Lift commercial performance through automation, workflow optimisation and responsible AI adoption.
  • Embed privacy, data governance and regulatory compliance across digital and advertising workflows.
  • Lead and develop high‑performing teams across digital products, AdTech, data, insights, operations and commercial enablement.

Skills and experience

  • Senior leadership experience in media, digital platforms, data or AdTech businesses.
  • Deep understanding of digital and data products, advertising platforms, technology ecosystems and commercial workflows.
  • Proven experience leading transformation in complex organisations.
  • Strong working knowledge of privacy, data governance and AI in advertising and digital products.
  • Strong stakeholder management across Sales, Technology, Legal and Executive stakeholders.
  • Commercially pragmatic, strategically minded and execution-focused.
