About the role
This permanent full-time Senior Content Producer position offers an exciting opportunity to lead content creation across one of Are Media's premium homes brands. You'll be responsible for developing high-impact, multi-platform content that engages millions of readers across digital and print channels. This role is perfect for a creative storyteller who thrives in a fast-paced media environment and wants to shape content strategy for one of Australia's most beloved magazine brands, Home Beautiful.
The Senior Content Producer is responsible for sourcing, writing, and publishing on-brand, high-impact, and shoppable content designed to grow audience reach, traffic, volume, and overall brand awareness across digital platforms. They execute the agreed content strategy while supporting the Digital and Omnichannel Editors to ensure efficient daily editorial operations. As a brand expert, this role works closely with networks, publicists, talent, and key industry contacts to generate original, timely content that reflects the brand’s voice and editorial standards.
Duties
Senior Content Producers operate with a high level of autonomy while also actively contributing to team meetings, content planning sessions, and cross-departmental collaboration.
A key focus of the role is championing the brand through timely editorial output and high-value organic search content.
Duties include:
• Develop and execute content calendars, ensuring alignment with editorial objectives and audience engagement goals
• Produce compelling articles, social media content, video scripts, and digital features optimised for various channels and devices
• Mentor junior content creators, coordinate with freelance writers, and collaborate with editorial, design, and marketing teams
• Audience Engagement: Monitor content performance metrics, analyse audience insights, and adapt content strategies to maximise reach and engagement
• Ensure all content maintains brand voice, editorial standards, and compliance with publishing guidelines
• Stay ahead of industry trends, seasonal content opportunities, and emerging digital platforms to keep content fresh and relevant
• Oversee content production timelines, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure delivery of high-quality content within deadlines
Skills and experience
• 5+ years of content production experience in digital media, publishing, or lifestyle brands
• Proven track record in creating engaging content across multiple platforms (web, social, email, print)
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with excellent attention to detail
• Experience with content management systems, social media scheduling tools, and analytics platforms
• Understanding of SEO principles and digital content optimisation
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field
Desirable Attributes:
• Experience working with premium homes and lifestyle content
• Video production and basic graphic design skills
• Knowledge of influencer marketing and brand partnerships
• Creative problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure
• Passion for interior design in Australian homes
• Understanding of target demographics
