About the role

The Category Partner - Beauty specialises in direct client relationships within the beauty sector. Working as part of the Are Media Luxury team they proactively secure new business, manage existing clients, and possess expert sector knowledge. This role is responsible for achieving a Beauty Team quarterly target in addition to a helping contribute to our quarterly NSW state target.

 

Duties

  • Client Management - Develop and maintain deep, strategic relationships with assigned clients, leverage specialist category knowledge to offer tailored client solutions, execute strategic client plans with clear KPIs and revenue objectives. Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure smooth campaign execution.
  • Revenue Generation & Reporting - Achieve individual budget and work to achieve the NSW team and Direct team budgets, develop and execute targeted strategies for revenue growth specific to your specific category and in line with the Are Media direct strategy, generate new business from the category, using Are Media’s omnichannel suite of products, regularly track and report business performance to management, ensure accurate forecasting and reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager – Luxury.
  • Analysing & Interpreting - Utilise market insights and client data to inform sales strategies, client plans and category growth strategies, continuously assess client needs and market trends to maintain competitive advantage, ensure individual Ad-Point usage and data entry is up to date, accurate, with all relevant information recorded.
  • Personal and Professional Development - Invest in professional development through regular learning opportunities to build on skills and knowledge, invest in personal development through wellbeing initiatives and take regular leave to maintain a balanced life.

 

Skills and experience

• Proven experience in direct client sales within specified categories.
• Strong ability to generate new business (hunter mentality).
• Specialist market knowledge relevant to the assigned category.
• Exceptional client management and negotiation skills.
• Experience in small agency interactions and direct client
relationships.
