Lifestyle Editor – New Zealand Woman’s Weekly
Are you the person friends turn to for the best life advice, the smartest trends, the new foodie finds and the ideas that really matter? Do you know how to turn the everyday questions into must-read content? New Zealand Woman’s Weekly, is looking for a Lifestyle Editor to join the talented editorial team on the brand that connects with more than 500,000 New Zealanders every week.
As Lifestyle Editor, you’ll lead the planning and execution of lifestyle content —from health and wellbeing to homes, food, fashion as well as working with our commercial partners. You’ll have a sharp eye for what’s trending and inspiring alongside the editorial judgement to balance service-led content with storytelling that connects.
This is a pivotal role for an experienced editorial leader who understands the wants and needs of the Weekly reader.
What you’ll do
- Own and deliver the lifestyle content across the brand.
- Source, write and edit engaging, accessible features that resonate with Kiwi women
- Identify emerging trends and translate them into practical, reader-first content
- Work closely with commercial teams on integrated opportunities, maintaining editorial integrity
- Build strong relationships with contributors, experts and talent
- Contribute fresh ideas to grow audience, engagement, revenue and brand relevance
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience in a senior editorial role, ideally within lifestyle or women’s media
- A strong understanding of the New Zealand audience and what matters to them
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- The ability to juggle multiple deadlines and stakeholders without losing attention to detail
- Digital savvy, with an understanding of audience behaviour and content performance
