About the role

Bring stories to life through compelling, audience-first video content for Australian Women's Weekly, one of Australia's most iconic and trusted media brands. As Video Producer, you'll play a key role in shaping how audiences experience the brand across digital, social, web and branded platforms, creating content that informs, entertains and inspires.

Transform story ideas, interviews, features and brand partnerships into engaging visual narratives that deepen audience connection and extend the reach of our content. From capturing exclusive moments and producing original series to developing innovative social-first formats, you'll help drive the evolution of Australian Women's Weekly's video offering.

This is a hands-on creative role for a passionate storyteller with strong production and editing expertise, a keen editorial eye and a deep understanding of how audiences consume video across different platforms. You'll own projects from concept to completion; developing ideas, filming, editing and delivering high-quality content that reflects the brand's values while pushing creative boundaries and embracing new opportunities in video storytelling.

What you'll do

  • Manage end-to-end video production including concept development, pre-production planning, filming, editing and final delivery
  • Interpret editorial and commercial briefs and translate them into engaging video content aligned with brand guidelines
  • Shoot, direct and edit video content across a range of formats including social-first, short-form, digital and branded content
  • Coordinate production logistics including talent, locations, scheduling, equipment and post-production timelines
  • Optimise video content for multiple platforms including social media, websites, EDMs and digital channels
  • Contribute creative ideas in editorial and planning sessions, offering video-led storytelling solutions
  • Collaborate closely with editors, designers, marketers and commercial teams to deliver cohesive content outcomes
  • Ensure all content is delivered on time, within scope and to a high production standard
  • Maintain organised asset management, file systems and version control
  • Stay across emerging video trends, platform innovations and audience engagement strategies to evolve content output
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, production efficiency and content performance
  • Support and guide junior creatives or freelancers where required
  • Take ownership of standalone video projects or campaigns from concept to completion

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in video production within media, publishing, agency or content-driven environments
  • Strong skills in filming, directing and editing using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience producing content across social, digital and branded content platforms
  • Strong storytelling ability with a clear understanding of audience engagement across different channels
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with experience working across multidisciplinary teams
  • Creative thinker with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Strong understanding of platform-native video formats and best practices (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, YouTube)
  • High attention to detail and commitment to production quality
