The Role
Turn conversations with Australian businesses into long-term advertising partnerships across some of Australia's most iconic brands in print and digital media!
Working across brands such as; Country Style, Better Homes & Gardens, Home Beautiful, BELLE and Gourmet Traveller as Client Partner – Directories, you’ll research prospects, get decision-makers on the phone, uncover what their business needs and demonstrate how Are Media’s brands can help them reach the right audiences. You’ll also have the backing of editorial teams, designers and a campaign manager, with creative services available to help bring client advertising to life.
You'll play a key role in acquiring new customers, growing existing relationships and delivering against revenue targets. This is a hands-on and commercially focused sales role for someone who enjoys proactive client engagement, building a healthy pipeline and converting opportunities into long-term customer relationships.
What you’ll be doing
- Drive revenue growth by managing your sales pipeline, achieving targets and identifying opportunities to grow and retain client spend.
- Generate new business through proactive outbound prospecting, lead generation and re-engaging lapsed customers.
- Build trusted client relationships by understanding customer needs and recommending tailored print and digital advertising solutions that align with their business objectives.
- Manage the end-to-end client experience, from maintaining accurate CRM records and sales forecasts through to coordinating bookings, artwork, approvals and proofing.
About you
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Experience in telephone-based sales, outbound sales, telesales or business development, with a demonstrated ability to achieve targets in a high-volume sales environment.
- Strong resilience and persistence, with the motivation to keep building opportunities through rejection and setbacks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and objection-handling skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport with customers.
- A commercially focused approach, with strong time management and the ability to identify customer needs and turn them into sales opportunities.
