The role
Bring digital stories to life for some of New Zealand's most iconic brands; The New Zealand Women's Weekly & Woman's Day!
Are Media is New Zealand's home of beloved women's brands, and the team behind the digital content that keeps millions of readers informed, entertained, and coming back for more. If you're a skilled content creator who knows how to craft stories that perform online and genuinely connect with women across Aotearoa, this role was made for you.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both writing and the pace of digital publishing. You’ll bring print stories to life online, spot opportunities for original and evergreen content, and use audience insights to make each story work harder. You’ll also help grow our shopping and affiliate content.
What You'll Be Working On
Your day-to-day will span:
- Adapting and optimising print content for digital publication and social media platforms, ensuring stories land with impact across every channel
- Writing original digital articles, galleries, and evergreen content tailored to NZ audiences and built for search performance
- Shaping print stories for social — identifying the angle, format, and platform that will drive the strongest engagement
- Creating social video - whether it's behind the scenes of a shoot or creating attention-grabbing trending content
- Tracking content performance through analytics and feeding insights back into the content approach
What You Bring
- Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for accuracy, tone, and audience relevance
- Working knowledge of any of the following: SEO principles, CMS, social and eDM platforms
- Confidence using analytics tools to inform content decisions
- An understanding of the NZ media landscape and what resonates with New Zealand women specifically
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines without compromising quality
