About the role
As the Senior Commercial Editor in the Creative & Content team, you'll be responsible for bringing to life client's ideas on our iconic brands' digital and social channels, telling stories that engage audiences, and move people and products.
This is a varied and fast-paced role, driven by deadlines and suiting someone who's full of ideas, who can deliver clean, clever, audience-appropriate copy to tight deadlines, and who loves the challenge of solving problems for clients. This role will be working across all of our brands including House & Garden, The Australian Women’s Weekly, marie claire, BEAUTYcrew, Australian Gourmet Traveller and ELLE.

Duties:
- Ideating, writing and editing commercial-led products across digital and social
- Contributing ideas at pitch meetings; responding to digitally-led pitch brief responses
- Writing and edit engaging commercial content ensuring consistency in tone and style that reflects the chosen brands voice.
- Managing client feedback and requests according to Are Media’s host-brand style, the product they have booked and the inclusions/guidelines
- Collaborate and proactively communicate with stakeholders to ensure clients deliverables are met
- Be a role model and support to the more junior members of the team
Skills & Experience we are looking for:
- Excellent written communication skills, spelling and grammar
- Writing experience on a magazine, digital or social platforms (4-5 years)
- A strong work ethic, being a self-starter and a team player are essential
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail
- Experience in writing across varied content including lifestyle, health, interiors, food and beauty
