About the role

The Shopping Producer – SEO is responsible for pitching, writing, auditing, and optimising compelling evergreen and seasonal shopping content for organic search and generative search across Are Media’s portfolio of brands.

Reporting to the Head of Shopping, the Shopping Producer - SEO is accountable for enacting the agreed content strategy as well as supporting editorial teams to ensure shoppable content is aligned with strategy, reaching high-intent audiences, and delivering on key revenue goals.

This role requires an in-depth understanding of the search engine optimisation and e-commerce landscapes and the skills to be able to create, optimise and position content that can both engage audience and drive consumer purchase while maintaining brand tone, integrity, and authority. The Shopping Content Producer - SEO will be proficient in using audience analytics and affiliate merchant data to identify and plan around retail content and seasonal tentpoles that present commerce opportunities.

Accountable for set KPIs that focus on retail revenue targets, you will be a self-starter and an excellent communicator who will strategise and execute affiliate content strategy to directly accelerate the growth of Are Media’s commerce business.

Duties

  • Collaborate with the content teams to ensure that unique and exclusive on-brand content of a high quality is created and published to grow audiences and market share online, build loyalty and engagement, and drive to sales conversions.
  • Source, pitch, write, edit, audit, and optimise compelling audience-first evergreen and seasonal shopping content for organic search and emerging search platforms across Are Media’s portfolio of brands.
  • As a SME (subject matter expert) team member, to share best practice in the area of affiliate content and SEO, offering guidance and general support to others.
  • Pitch new and innovative ideas and campaigns (videos, EDMs, series, clusters) to drive audience, with possible commercial potential, where possible
  • Collaborate and work closely with Social & Email teams to ideate and execute on new ways to connect shopping on Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Newsletters and other platforms as required.
  • Use data and tools to create insights and understandings that inform strategies for audience and revenue growth from affiliate content.
  • Apply SEO and key word research and audience data to drive traffic to and engagement in affiliate-led content.
  • Analyse traffic and conversion results from past content to make recommendations for future stories.

Skills and experience

  • In depth knowledge and understanding of the SEO landscape
  • Well developed skills and knowledge about writing for digital media
  • Experience with content management systems, photo editing and analytics tools
  • Understanding and experience with using a variety of social media platforms and referrers to drive audiences and engagement with shoppable content.
  • Experience in and passion for content ideation
  • Interest and/or understanding of shopping trends and using review content
